How are you connected to the TV? By HDMI cable? or RCA plugs and VGA? There is more configuration settings that may be required.
Dear Mike,
The connection is with an AVG cable. I hope it is just settings but I have not found a setting that works. I was told tha if I held down the FN key and hit the F5 key, which has a picture of a computer and a TV, it would make the connection but that does not work.
Thanks for a quick reply.

Dear Mike,
You said "RCA and VGA" do I need 2 cables with VGA??????
JB
Yes, VGA only sends picture. You need to plug into the back of your sound card with a mini-phono plug and then plug into a sound amplifier and play the sound. If your TV set has an aux input, then your sound would go there. But using VGA only put the picture on the set, not the audio.

I have connected to my 32 inch TV and it's great. Yes, sound is separate and I haven't investigated the connectors for it yet. I have just used the internal laptop speakers. UGH!
